Founded in 2002
Located in Peosta, Iowa, Design Build Structures (DBS) was founded in 2002 by a group of professionals with diverse experiences in the steel industry. Recognizing a growth opportunity within the industry, they founded the company to specialize in structural and ornamental steel fabrication.
Initially, Design Build operated out of an 8,000 sq ft rented facility with a team of five in the shop and one in the office, and no delivery fleet. At that time, drawings were created manually, purchase orders were made via phone call, and fabricators relied solely on a Scotchman and bandsaw for cutting parts and material.
